Once at the top of the island we did minimal sightseeing, a little shopping, and ate gyros for lunch at a cute authentic street stand.
We finally found our way to the bus station that would take us on an adventure to the little town of Oia. Oia is famous for the extraordinary views and breathtaking sunsets. The drive up the mountain was just as beautiful as the village, which is filled with white with blue-topped buildings. We could only catch the sunset on the drive back to Fira due to time but it was still amazing to say the least. As great as the donkey ride was, we both took a cable car back to the ship leaving just 15 minutes to spare before the ship left for Athens.
